Der "Och nee" Moment...

Beim Herumschnitzen an meiner OSC Stute kam mir beim Bearbeiten der Hinterhand ein Draht in den Weg. Ich habe den also freigelegt und entfernt. Dann wollte ich eine Rinne schleifen um ein neues Drahstück elegent einzulegen und festzumodellieren:

Drahtende und Kanal markiert.


So hätte es dann ausgesehen und man hätte das bloß noch zumodellieren müssen.

Wenn nicht %&@§$!! das Bein abgebrochen wäre.

Also Plan B und so wie wirs immer machen, auch beim Reparieren von veränderten Pferden...


Hier ist der Draht schon übermodelliert, aber sonst ist da noch nichts weiter passiert. Allerdings sieht man prima wo ich sonst noch an ihr gearbeitet habe:

The "Aw, darn it" moment.
When working more on my stubborn OSC, the wire of a hindleg got in the way of corrections so I surfaced it and removed it. Then I had such a nice plan how to lay in a new one into a drilled sort of trench and prepared everything- and then the leg just snapped before I could finish anything. Drat!
Well, there is always plan B. Plan B is the "do it as we always do this" method which did of course work out then... Above pics show her with the leg reattached but not worked on further. The patches of Apoxie show where I *did* some work in the mean time.

Ponyfohlen

Ymir hat gefohlt... um, nein hat er natürlich nicht. Aber ein kleines Rappfohlen namens Knopf hat er adoptiert.

Boah, ist das aber klein- da staunt der große Fiete:


Hier sehen wir schon des Rätsels Lösung:


Ymirs Freundin, die Shetty Stute Hoppa, hat ein eigenes Fohlen und der kleine Rappe ist ihr als kleiner Waise untergeschoben worden:


Allerdings findet Knopf den alten Ymir viel besser und so trinkt er nur bei Ersatzmama Hoppa und verbringt dann die restliche Zeit am Schweifzipfel des alten Wallachs, der dies mit großer Gelassenheit hinnimmt. Hier kommen die beiden gerade von einem kleinen Ausflug zurück.


Beide Fohlen sind mit Mohair-Resten beflockte Schleich-Fohlen.

English Summary:
Ymir has foaled! Ummm...no, of course he hasn't. We just got that little black orphaned foal and the ponies adopted it into their little patchwork family. Shetty mare Hoppa has a foal of her own and lets little "Knopf" (=button) drink as well. Knopf muchly prefers the old gelding Ymir, though and spends most of his time following the old pony around. Wise old Ymir does not mind, most likely he even enjoys the company of the foal.

Both foals are Schleich foals who were completely flocked with rests of mohair.

New pics of an older customized horse by me. I still love him a lot and these pictures bring out his charms.

And then the other image- every collection has a heart, so to speak. This is the heart of mine, a shelf full of OSC models. The three horses and the piebald pony to the left were made by others (from left to right: Kim König, Gudrun Schmitt, Gesa Thiessen, Juliane Garstka), all the dogs and the other horses are my own works.
They may be not perfect, but I love them all very much.

Gewitter

Unser Rappwallach Gewitter ist fertig. Da es heute so dermaßen windig war, dass es auf der Wiese nur Wälzfotos gegeben hat, hier ein paar Bilder draußen auf dem Balkon.

The black gelding Gewitter is finished. I had planned to take some pics on a meadow nearby. It is so windy today, though, that he was knocked over again and again and I had to resort to the balcony again. Enjoy.

In Arbeit

Hier gibts nun gleich drei Pferde auf einmal zu sehen:

Zum einen den Rappen "Gewitter"*:
An ihm hatte ich an den Details gearbeitet, hier ein Zwischenstand:




um ihn dann heute das erste Mal lackieren zu können- noch steht er draußen im Lack-Karton:

Bin gespannt wie es aussehen wird und ob er noch mehr Farbe braucht.

*Den Namen hat er sich verdient, immer wenn ich an ihm arbeite donnert und/oder regnet es...

Und dann durfte meine OSC-Stute mal wieder aus dem Schrank, weil ich einen Geistesblitz hatte.
Mir ist es nun gelungen, weitere Unstimmigkeiten zu eleminieren und ihren Kopf nochmal zu verfeinern. Außerdem habe ich mich entschlossen, dass sie doch ein Warmblut/Halbblut-Pferd wird. Die Abstammung wird dann (Sterndeuter x Dwimordene) sein.






Als nächstes kommt erstmal die vernachlässigte Hinterhand an die Reihe.

Und auch ihr Fohlen macht Fortschritte und bekommt langsam Details:




English Summary:
Three horses in one post!
The cantering horse, Gewitter (thunder storm), who got his Name, because whenever I work on him, rain or thunders come up, LOL!! So he had some more detailings added, piccies above were in progress and has now today got his first layers of laquer. Am now very curious if he'll need more black layers or if it looks already convincing. Currently he's still out there.

Then next, my mare and foal OSCs were allowed out of the closet again, too, because I had some ideas what was so wrong with the mare. (I couldn't really place my finger on it, so to speak). Now I have already fixed some of her problems and managed to refine her head further. Next, her neglected hindend will get some work done.
I also decided upon her "heritage", making her half a TB and descending from Sterndeuter x Dwimordene.
Her foal is slowly making some progress as well, now getting details added.

Briar Rose - in Arbeit

Endlich bin ich mal mit meinem halb geköpften Fohlen weitergekommen. Die Bewegung ist jetzt so wie sie soll, nun müssen die Ecken und Kanten weg und der Kopf weiter bearbeitet werden.
Vielleicht baue ich als nächstes auch die Mini-Base, die sie bekommt, aber dafür muss erstmal der Apoxie-Nachschub eintreffen. *g*


English Summary:
Finally I got back to my half beheaded foal, LOL!! I tackled the pose now, now I need to work more on the head and smooth it out overall. And she will need a mini-Base, but that one I can only create when I get new Apoxie here.

Calice

...hat eine Geschlechtsumwandlung bekommen. *g* Unteranderem. Zum einen hatte ich nun endlich den korrekten Winkel für das erhobene Vorderbein gefunden und diese Stellung "operativ" erreicht. Und dann hab ich auch gleich noch ne Stute aus ihm gemacht, denn der ganze Körperbau, vorallem mit der langen Unterlinie, ist total stutig und Hengstausdruck ist bei dem Modell gleich Null.
Praktischerweise geht der Name ja für beide Geschlechter.*g*

English Summary:
Calice underwent a little surgery which did correct the angle of the raised frontleg finally into a credible position and I also changed his gender, so that he is now a mare. He had no stallion-type at all and a lot of his conformation said "mare" all along. So here she is now.

TWH Cust in Arbeit

Hier ist er nochmal, kurz nachdem die Farbe anfing deckend zu werden. Genaugenommen ist er übrigens dunkelblau. Um nachher das bläuliche Schimmern eines echten Rappen zu erzielen habe ich sehr viel Blau im Schwarz:

And here he is again, the colours now starting to be no longer see-through.Though he looks very black already, he is stictly speaking of a very dark blue here, as I wish to capture the bluish shimmer of true black horses. So I am experimenting with a lot of blue in the black, am curious how he will turn out in the end.
Also pictured, the proud "parents" looking cute for the camera.
