Stoned *g*

Nach dem Dachdecken habe ich jetzt auch Fliesenlegen gelernt. *g* Die Fugen kommen noch, das sind erstmal nur die Steine und der Glanz kommt vom noch feuchten Lack.

After roofing, I now also mastered the art of laying floor tiles, LOL!! The gaps have not yet been filled in and the gloss is caused by the still wet laquer.
 









Ich bin Lichtjahre von Christines Können entfernt, aber mich inspirieren die tollen Projekte von Last Alliance Studios jedesmal wieder. :)

Dacharbeiten

Bei Oma Lenes Haus wird am Dach gewerkelt.
Zuerst wurde es komplett eingedeckt:



Die halben Ziegel und die runden Abschlussziegel auf den Kanten sind selbst modelliert und eingepasst. Mit Farbe fällt das überhaupt nicht auf, siehe unten.
Und nun hat es schon eine allererste Farbschicht.




Und auch Nisse ist inzwischen retouchiert und hat nun alles was ein Fjordi braucht.

The work on Granny Lene's house continues- the roof is currently the focus of attention. First it has been completed and all complicated (half or quarter ones) tiles have been sculpted by hand, as well as those who cover the steep edges on top. And today everything got a first layer of paint, yay!

And Nisse has been retouched as well, now looking like a properly realistic pony.

Häusle bauen und Sjokolade

Auf der Baustelle geht es voran, das Dachdecken hat begonnen:





Und was macht Oma Lene in der Zwischenzeit?
Die war doch klammheimlich "nur mal so gucken" auf dem Pferdemarkt und hat dort dieses Prachtexemplar von einem Fjord-Wallach (Breyer Sjokolade) aufgetan.

Zum Glück für sie (und ihre Füße) hat Nisse ein wirklich ruhiges Temperament.




Zugeben muss man es ja schon- die passen wirklich gut zusammen...


Und weil das Breyer-Mold einen echten Bollerkopp hat, haben wir aus unserer Lieblingssattlerei (Gut Goldbach) gleich noch einen maßgefertigten gebißlosen Zaum dazubekommen:







Der Zaum passt natürlich auch Snø , unserem ersten Fjordi.
Nisse kriegt noch ein paar Stellen retuschiert, an denen er zu hell ist (Innenseite der Nüstern, zum Beispiel), ich wollte ihn nur einmal ganz OF zeigen.

And what is Granny Lene up to in the meantime?
She went to a horse auction- "just to have a look" and came back with this prime specimen of a Norwegian Fjord gelding.
Luckily for her (and her feet *g*) Nisse has a real calm temper. And you have to admit that they look really nice together, too.
Since this Breyer mold has a very wide head, it was clear that none of our headstalls would fit, so we got a lovely custom made bitless bridle from our favourite saddlery Gut Goldbach for him.

And of course this bridle also fits our other Fjord,Snø , too.
Nisse will get some minor retouching in spots where he is too light (like the inside of his nostrils), but I wanted to show him once as true OF horse.

Purzel und Rascal

Heute hat Oma Lene mal den kleinen Rascal aus dem Stall mit nach Hause genommen- wenn er sich mit Purzel gut versteht, darf er bleiben- und dann ist im Haus wahrscheinlich nichts vor den Schlingeln sicher...

Sommerschuhe

Ein Hurra für Breyer Boxen

...man sollte wirklich immer ein paar von den Deckeln mit der Folie zu Hause haben.
Warum? Weil mein Hausbau-Projekt heute auf die Intensiv-Station musste. *g*

Ich hatte festgestellt, dass ich keinen Sekundenkleber mehr hatte und nahm deshalb den aus dem Bausatz- ganz großer Fehler. Der Kleber lief extrem stark und härtete langsam und verschmierte so ausgerechnet die große "Glasscheibe" im oberen Teil. Da war ich erstmal bedient.

Danach fiel mein Blick auf besagte Breyerbox und ich schöpfte Hoffnung. Mit Hilfe des beigelegten Lösungsmittels (die wissen wohl warum...) gelang es mir die beschädigte Mittelscheibe in kontrollierter Zerstörung aus dem Rahmen zu lösen ohne Holzstreben abzubrechen. Puuuuh.

Dann erstmal tief durchatmen. Und dann einfach ein Stück Breyer-Folie zuschneiden, einsetzen, flach liegend vorsichtig kleben und- tadaaa! Wenn man es nicht weiß, sieht man nichts.
Danach war das Zusammensetzen der restlichen Teile der Hausfront ein Kinderspiel.

Hier das Ergebnis von heute:

Der Gehsteig ist noch nicht fest, ich will ihn zunächst gestalten, er wird mit "Pflastersteinen" belegt.


Mmmhm, lecker Blumen! - Wirst Du wohl!! Böses Pony, Kssscchht!!!

Hooray for Breyer Boxes!

You really need to keep a few of the fronts of those with the plastic around.... why? I have a good example here. Today my house-project ended up shortly in intensive care unit, LOL!

I noticed I had run out of my superglue but thought it wouldn't matter, since the house-kit included superglue, too, so I would just use that. Biiig mistake!
The included glue turned out to be extremely runny and slow to bind and so it managed to ruin the upper part of the big window, yay. Not.

In my frustation, I turned away from the table and my gaze found the Breyer box of my latest arrival (will be introduced. NO it is not a foal. *big grin*) and my brain went click, my hopes went up again.
With the help of the also included debonding-agent (they must know that it is very needed...) I was able to carefully break the middle pane out of the frame again, without destroying the fragile framework in the process, wheeew...

Take a deep breath. And then simply measure and cut out a window-pane sized piece of Breyer plastic, fit it in and - done! Yay! If you don't know the difference, you won't see it it.
After that, piecing together the rest was a walk in the park. Above, you can see the results.
The walkway is not permanently attached, yet, as it will get cobblestones and I figure that is easier without having a house attached to it. *g*

Richtfest!!!

Das Dach ist dran und fest (wenn auch noch nicht fertig) - das bedeutet Richtfest:

When a newly built house in Germany has its roof-construction (just the carrying structures usually, not yet covered up), then there is the old tradition of Richtfest. The roof is crowned with a "Richtkranz" or "Richtkrone" (a bit more elaborate) and blessed by the leading carpenter (who has built the roof structure with his crew) The blessing is to invite good luck in and keep bad luck and dangers such as fire out.

So, my little house has no free planks but a closed roof so my Richtfest had to wait until I got this far. Next will be laying the tiles but before the rest of the front will be built in.

Puppenhaus Update

Die falsche Tür ist fertig, sie läßt sich aus Stabilitätsgründen nicht öffnen.


Die Treppe ist nun auch fest eingebaut (oben sieht man auch eine Deckensteckdose):


Treppengeländer oben- ja, ich habe ganz sauber gearbeitet. *g*


Und dann muss man mit dem Provisorium ja schonmal was testen. *g*
Test 1 -  Ja, ist denn schon Weihnachten?! Yup, der Tannenbaum passt rein.


Test 2 - Der Gemütlichkeitsfaktor- auch bestanden. Sogar mit rudimentärer Einrichtung sieht es nett aus.


Innen ist wie gesagt nun erstmal Baustopp, es geht nun außen an der Fassade weiter.

Dolls House Update!
As you can see, some new stuff has been finished.
The fake door (it doesn't open) has been attached to the wall, the stairs built in and the rails are attached now.
And then it was time to test some things even with rather sparse interior design.
Test 1 - Yep, Christmas won't be a problem, the tree fits right in.
Test 2 - Is it cosy already? Yep, even with only a few pieces of furniture it already looks cosy.

The interior will now be ignored for a while, as I plan to finish the outer parts before I attach to all the furniture and details that are still missing on the inside.

Fleissiges Wochenende

Dieses Wochenende hat das Haus riesige Fortschritte gemacht.
Am Samstag hat mein Vater mir die Steckdosen gelötet und der Verteilerkasten ist auch fertig. ♥♥♥




Als ich mit den Sachen wieder nach Hause kam, hat es gewittert und gegossen, also hab ich mich gleich wieder dran gesetzt und weitergebastelt und damit auch heute morgen gleich weitergemacht.





Viel mehr passiert innen jetzt erstmal nicht, nun ist die Fassade dran.

On Saturday I visited my parents and Dad soldered the wires to the power outlets for me. ♥♥♥
When I came back, the weather turned to rain-and thunderstorm and I sat down and worked more on the house.
When I got up this morning, I resumed the work, so there is a lot done now.
Interior work will get a pause now soon, as I want to finish the outside first.
