Und tatsächlich, ein Pferd

Viel ist dieses Jahr ja nicht passiert, weil ich mich voll den echten Pferden wieder zugewendet habe, für die die Modellpferde doch eher ein Lückenbüßer waren, aber immerhin ein Ross ist fertig geworden.
Auf diesen "Zuchterfolg" sind auch alle mächtig stolz und deshalb zeig ich ihn einfach mal her, den
schönen Música da Noite (Musik der Nacht), der nun in Schweden wohnt und sich schon prima eingelebt hat:

English Summary:
 Not much has happened in the small scale world this year, as I have turned my heart fully on the real horses again, for which the model horses served as a temporary replacement, it seems. But at least one horse *has* been finished.
And so we proudly present the latest offspring of the stables, the handsome Música da Noite, who is already off in his new forever home in Sweden and liking it there or so I heard. *g*
He's the Aragon resin by Heike Polster, who got some facial resculpting and then paint, hairing and some spirit by me.

Dreammare und Dream On

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich die Ponies gar nicht zu Ende vorgestellt habe- hier sind Dreammare und Dream On (beide nach Songtiteln benannt, aber die Wortspielerei mit dem Namen der Stute ist auch prima.)
Die beiden sind Dales Ponies.










Das Modellieren des Langhaars war echt schrecklich, ich weiß schon, warum ich viel lieber haire! *g* (Aber man soll sich ja auch mal Herausforderungen setzen...)

English Summary:
I just realised that I never finished the introduction of the Pony-family. So here you go with Dreammare und Dream On (both named after song titles but I love the doublemeaning in the mare's name, too).
They are Dales Ponies, just like Harvey.

Sculpting the feathers on the mare was really awful work, I am once more feeling assured why I prefere hairing so much. *g* But you have to have some challenge from time to time, don't you?

Eine Lücke im Regal...

...deren Anblick Vorfreude auslöst. Meine Touch of Class Herde bekommt Zuwachs und ich ein verfrühtes Weihnachtsgeschenk von mir selbst.
Zufällig bin habe ich eine veränderte Touch of Class im Verkauf auf MH$P entdeckt und entschieden, dass hier definitiv ein Plätzchen für sie frei ist. Und deshalb herrscht hier nun Vorfreude. :D



English Summary:

An empty space on the shelf- making me feel all happily, eagerly anticipant. My herd of Touch of Class CMs is getting a new addition. By pure coincidence I found one offered on MH$P and decided that there was definitely room for her, here. And so the resident ones will get a new "sister", now soon.

Fairy Frost

Bei uns gabs das erste Fohlen des Jahres, die Vollblüter sind ja oft nen Tick eher dran.
Schon vor einer Weile haben wir Durran's Image nur noch spazieren geführt und sie dann auch ihre Abfohlbox beziehen lassen.

Inzwischen ist das Stutfohlen auch da und putzmunter, heute morgen gab es dann eine große Überraschung - ui, wie sieht denn der Auslauf aus?

Julal schon wieder

Diesesmal mit Tageslicht Bildern auf denen man etwas mehr sieht. *g* Aber zu glänzend ist sie immer noch...









English Summary:
Julal again, now with daylight piccies. As good as you can get them with a horse with so much glaring "shininess" on the paint. (I am a matte fan...)

Das fertige Pferd ist leider etwas schwer zu fotografieren, da ich seidenmatten Lack bekommen habe, obwohl ich matte wollte. Matt stand auch drauf... Deshalb glänzt sie nun so stark...*grummel*

English Summary:
After what felt like a small eternity, the next horse is finally as good as done... Meet Julal (= Cannonball), an Anglo-Arabian mare.
Above you find pictures of the sorry wreck that she was in the beginning. I sculpted her a new head and neck and repaired her leg. Then I turned her into this feisty mare. She has a base, which is not very finished, yet, and so I crappily retouched it in the piccies above.
Since I had a major fail with the varnish on her (ordered matte, got a can with matte printed on- sprayed and it was very shiny satin, ooh yay!), she is more shiny than I do like them, normally. Since I had the colour so nicely, I decided to finish her anyway. This shinyness makes her hard to take pictures off in lamplight, so there will be definitely more of her in daylight.

Neue Pferde

Das ist Blackberry Cordial (Grailblazer xx x Feuervogel )eine Stute aus unserer Zucht:





Ich habe sie aus der Breyer Stapless verändert (tatsächlich nur bemalt und gehäirt, es geschehen noch Zeichen und Wunder *g*)- und sie war ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für Vile. :o)

Und dann ist da noch Herbstnebel. Den schenke ich mir selber zu Weihnachten, aber ein Portrait gibt es schon mal:

English Summary:
The piebald mare shown above has the pretty name "Blackberry Cordial" and was remade by me from a Breyer Strapless mold. She is "just" an rh, am most surprised about that myself, LOL!!
She was a birthday pressie for Vile, who also chose her new name. :o)

Herbstnebel is my Christmas pressie by myself, LOL!!, which is why I am just showing a little portray, but I couldn't resist to do this at least... *g*

The Witch Queen

Vor einer Weile hatten wir den Hengst Hexer zu Besuch, den wir für das Gestüt Wooden Eyre erwerben konnten.
Damals haben wir ihn mit unserer Rappstute Black Queen angepaart, in der Hoffnung einen reinerbigen Rappen als Nachwuchs zu ziehen.
Black Queen:

Das Ergebnis ist eine Stute namens Witch Queen und sie hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen, denn sie hat einen sehr edlen Typ und trotzdem ist ihr Fundament solider als das ihrer Mutter.

English Summary:
A while ago, the stallion Hexer (=Warlock) paid us a visit before travelling on to his final home on the Wooden Eyre stud. We bred him to our Black Queen, hoping for a homozygous black offspring.
We did not only get that, personified in the two year old filly Witch Queen, but she was even better than we could have hoped. Such a sweet refined face and yet a very solid foundation to stand on.
The pictures above show her, some together with Black Queen, the proud Mom.

Grand Cru

Grand Cru ist fertig! Noch eine große kräftige Warmblutstute, die auch noch erhaltenswerte Blutlinien besitzt.








Ihren Namen hat sie übrigens dank ihrer Farbe- auch besonders erlesene Schokolade kann als "Grand Cru" bezeichnet werden, das ist nicht nur ein Begriff aus dem Weinbau.

English Summary:
Grand Cru is finished, a tall warmblood mare (Hanoverian) with old and precious bloodlines. Her name she got thanks to her colour- very good chocolate "species" can also be called "Grand Cru", the term is not reserved to wine.

Snø

Fjord Wallach Snø (Schnee) ist soweit fertig.









Hmm, auf den Bildern sieht er extrem klein und rund aus, vielleicht doch besser ein Fjord-Mix? Muss ich nochmal drüber nachdenken...

English Summary:
Fjord Horse gelding Snø (Norwegian word for "snow") is as good as done. Looking at the piccies I am wondering if I'd rather make him a Fjord-mix, he looks a bit too small and rounded while the head is too large... Shall ponder this

Merolanna

Was lange währt, wird endlich gut!

Vor ein paar Jahren kaufte ich "Melinda May", eine Appy-Stute, sie sah so aus:



Je länger ich sie hatte, desto mehr Fehler sprangen mir ins Auge und einige Veränderungen wurden vorgenommen, z.B. im Gesicht und am Rücken. Soweit habe ich auch die Appy-Farbe immer erhalten.
Sie hatte allerdings auch hoffnungslose Stellungsfehler:

Und als ich die irgendwann angegangen bin, habe ich dann doch das komplette Pferd überarbeitet.
Beim Basteln "sagte" sie mir dann, dass sie lieber ein Schimmel wäre und das kam dann dabei heraus:








Eine Schönheitskonkurrenz gewinnt sie sicher nicht, aber dafür sieht sie nun aus wie ein Pferd. Und zwar wie das Pferd "von nebenan", das man überall auf der Wiese findet, ein heißgeliebter Freizeitkumpel eben.

Finally Merolanna is done! :o)
A few years ago, I bought the Appy mare pictured above and the longer I had her, the more I noticed the glaring faults in the model. So I started to correct a bit here, a bit there, keeping the colour (face and back were mainly worked over). But she had also those horribly bending frontlegs which kept bugging me. And so one day I went ahead and broke them to be able to straighten them out. While I was at it, I went over the whole horse afterall. While I was at it, she "told" me, that she wanted to be a grey horse rather than an appy again.
Result showing above. She is no prized showhorse but one of the well-loved trusty partners that you find on pastures everywhere. One of those living "life-insurances" when you go for a ride through the woods and fields.
