Frohe Ostern / Happy Easter!

Ein OSC

Und das hier wird mal die Vollblut-Stute "Phantasm", vermutlich aus der Familie der Black Queen.
Hier habe ich angefangen ein rudimentäres Super Sculpey OSC weiterzubearbeiten. Bild-Qualität ist nicht so toll, aber ich war so angenehm von den Fortschritten überrascht, dass ich die Bilder gleich machen wollte. *g* (Zwei Einträge hier drunter sieht man wie sie vorher aussah)

And below the beginnings of an OSC which was developed only rudimentary and which is now getting slowly to be something, I started at the face.
This is going to be Phantasm, a Thoroughbred mare who will be most likely offspring of Black Queen's family.
Piccie quality not so great, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the progress I made on her face in a few days that I had to take the piccies at once. *g*

Merolanna

Was lange währt, wird endlich gut!

Vor ein paar Jahren kaufte ich "Melinda May", eine Appy-Stute, sie sah so aus:



Je länger ich sie hatte, desto mehr Fehler sprangen mir ins Auge und einige Veränderungen wurden vorgenommen, z.B. im Gesicht und am Rücken. Soweit habe ich auch die Appy-Farbe immer erhalten.
Sie hatte allerdings auch hoffnungslose Stellungsfehler:

Und als ich die irgendwann angegangen bin, habe ich dann doch das komplette Pferd überarbeitet.
Beim Basteln "sagte" sie mir dann, dass sie lieber ein Schimmel wäre und das kam dann dabei heraus:








Eine Schönheitskonkurrenz gewinnt sie sicher nicht, aber dafür sieht sie nun aus wie ein Pferd. Und zwar wie das Pferd "von nebenan", das man überall auf der Wiese findet, ein heißgeliebter Freizeitkumpel eben.

Finally Merolanna is done! :o)
A few years ago, I bought the Appy mare pictured above and the longer I had her, the more I noticed the glaring faults in the model. So I started to correct a bit here, a bit there, keeping the colour (face and back were mainly worked over). But she had also those horribly bending frontlegs which kept bugging me. And so one day I went ahead and broke them to be able to straighten them out. While I was at it, I went over the whole horse afterall. While I was at it, she "told" me, that she wanted to be a grey horse rather than an appy again.
Result showing above. She is no prized showhorse but one of the well-loved trusty partners that you find on pastures everywhere. One of those living "life-insurances" when you go for a ride through the woods and fields.

Blick aufs kreative Chaos- Merolanna macht Fortschritte beim "schimmeln". Links dahinter ein wiedergefundenes angefangenes OSC. Mal sehen ob es so wird wie ich mir das denke.


English Summary:
Merolanna progresses with her graying out. To the left the raw beginnings of a once started OSC which was then set aside. I have now taken pity on her and I am going to try and finish her.

In Arbeit

Merolanna bekommt nun Farbe. Ich wollte sie als Schimmel malen, finde aber ein komplett ausgeschimmeltes Weiß trotz Schattierungen zu "langweilig" für dieses Pferd. Also habe ich einfach mal auf eine der ersten grau-weiß Schichten eine Äpfelung gepinselt.
Ich glaube wenn das hier nachher zart durchscheint, wird das prima aussehen. Mal gucken ob ich das so hinbekomme.



Hm, Adamant scheint ihr Hinterteil ziemlich interessant zu finden.*schiel* Am Besten ich nehme sie heute Nacht da weg. ;o)


English Summary:
Merolanna is finally getting her paint. I planned to make her a plain white gray, but then thought that this might look a bit too "plain" on this horse, so to speak. And so I testingly added some dapples on one of her first layers of gray. I think it would look nice if this is just shimmering through the finished coat when she is done. Like a fading dappling on a horse graying out further. Im curious if I will manage.
And is it just me or is Adamant ogling her butt? No, I think he is...better remove her there, LOL!!
