Phantasm, in Arbeit

So, heute morgen nach dem Aushärten der Verlängerung das Resultat. (Und schon wieder von schräg oben, arrgh):





Mir hilft es immer die Längenverhältnisse einzuschätzen wenn ich zum Beispiel einen Sattel auflege:


Sieht schon viel besser aus als vorher!

Außerdem habe ich begonnen die Einzelteile eines sehr glücklosen Pferdchens (schon zweimal um-gecustet und nie vollendet) in eine neue Form zubringen. Bilder gibts, wenn man was erkennen kann.
Ich sage nur diese "Pose" gibt es hier noch gar nicht und "alle Pferdchen fliegen hoooch". *gg*

English Summary:
This morning, after the setting of the added material, I took those pics above. (And again that unflattering angle, aargh) Putting a saddle on the back of an unfinished horse often helps me to better understand the lengths and widths of its body.
She now looks much better than before.

And soon there will be piccies of a new-old project, a very unfortunate horsey that got remade already twice and never finished. Now I arranged its bodyparts entirely new, LOL!! Pics will be showing up as soon as one can guess where it is going. A small hint: no other horse here has this "pose" and I have not done it before. *big grin*

Phantasm, in Arbeit

So ich hab Phantasm nun mal ordentlich "gefüttert". Nun hat sie zwar die nötige Tiefe im Brustkorb, so dass es jetzt zur Beinlänge und zum Hals passt, aber nun wird sie schon wieder zu kurz... Ca. 1cm könnte sie gut vertragen...




English Summary:
Now Phantasm has been fed lots of Apoxie and finally her heart girth begins to match the length of her legs and her neck, but now she is starting to get very short again. Aargh! *despair* At least one centimeter she could very well take in additional length...

EDIT:
Hier der Fotobeweis, mal eben auf die schnelle am PC auseinander geschnippelt und länger gemacht. Auch die Halsform muss korrigiert werden, so wie auf dem neuen Bild hier:

Der Winkel ist auch nicht ganz glück, leicht schräg von oben, da sehen die Beine kürzer aus als sie sind.

Here's proof that more length is needed, a quick manipulation on the computer. Also, the shape of the neck should be redone as seen here.
The angle of the photograph is not entirely good, it is a bit from above, making her legs look shorter. Will try to avoid this in future pics.

Dies und das

Was macht man bei 37C im Schatten, wenn man nicht schmirgeln kann (Handprobleme und auch ein bisschen heiß für Schmirgeln mit der Hand)?
Man baut eine Trense. Nach längerer Tack-Abstinenz ist die gar nicht soo schlecht geworden, wahrscheinlich würde ein bisschen Übung hier auch Wunder wirken...

Dieser Pferdetyp mit der "altmodischen" Trense macht mich grade völlig nostalgisch... *gg*

Und wenn man dann alle Zeitungen gelesen hat, die Trense ist fertig und man hat immer noch Zeit?
Dann schnappt man sich doch noch was zum Modellieren- 90% konnten am stehenden Pferd gemacht werden, und für den Rest hab ichs ganz ulkig aber unbelastend im Arm halten können.

What do you do when you have unusual 37 Celsius in the shade out there and you can't sand any horse? (Not that this temperature would be ideal for this kind of work anyway...)
Yeah, you make some tack. It has been a while and considering this, it came around rather nicely. I will never manage the ultra-fine sort of bridle, I was pretty crosseyed with this one already, but I think if I were not so lazy and do more of these, there is room for improvement.
I made a bridle in an "oldfashioned" style to match my "oldfashioned" horse, Grand Cru.

And then I got bored and did some more little bits of work on my OSC "Phantasm", fleshing her out, slowly. As the last piccie shows, she is already starting to practise this "am I not cute? now, where's the carrots?" kind of look. *g*

Ein OSC

Und das hier wird mal die Vollblut-Stute "Phantasm", vermutlich aus der Familie der Black Queen.
Hier habe ich angefangen ein rudimentäres Super Sculpey OSC weiterzubearbeiten. Bild-Qualität ist nicht so toll, aber ich war so angenehm von den Fortschritten überrascht, dass ich die Bilder gleich machen wollte. *g* (Zwei Einträge hier drunter sieht man wie sie vorher aussah)

This is going to be Phantasm, a Thoroughbred mare who will be most likely offspring of Black Queen's family.
Piccie quality not so great, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the progress I made on her face in a few days that I had to take the piccies at once. *g*
