Tatsächlich mal wieder was Modelliges!

Da habe ich doch tatsächlich mal wieder was fertig bekommen! Diese zwei North Lights zogen im Februar quasi als Geburtstagsgeschenk an mich selber bei mir ein.

Chocolate Chip (NL New Forest Pony, rr (+ repair) by me)


Aristokrat (NL Hanoverian, rr (retouched and head CM) by me)

Am Kopf bin ich noch nicht ganz ferig.

English Summary:
Wow, I finished something! Here are two new critters to fuel my developing North Light addiction. I found them already in February and sort of gave them to myself to my birthday back then.
Chocolate Chip had a flaking old CM paintjob, so I repainted him (and fixed him, when he managed to hurt himself.. *headdesk*)
Aristokrat is the Hanoverian mold which has a totally untypical elegant neck and a waay too short head originally. I fixed the head and retouched it afterwards and this alone did the overall shape a world of good already. (His blaze and head still need some work)

Schnuffi

Hurra, heute habe ich zum ersten Mal seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit mal wieder was Kreatives gemacht- beim Einkaufen lief mir ein beinahe maßstabstreues Bernhardiner-Modell aus Kunststein über den Weg. Natürlich war die Bemalung wie immer bei solchen Modellen grottenschlecht und deshalb habe ich nun angefangen, ihm vernünftig Farbe zu verpassen.
Einen Spitznamen hat er auch schon: Schnuffi. Und das kam, weil die Frau an der Kasse beim eingeben sagte "Och, was haben Sie denn da für einen Schnuffi?". *g*

Hier ist er, es ist noch ein bißchen was zu tun, aber er ist schon vorzeigbar:

Yay, finally I could do something creative again - it feels like forever since I last actually painted or made something... When I did my weekend shopping, this doggy leaped into my basket at the grocery store. He's almost true 1:10 and made from polyresin. Like all of his kind, his painting was horrible and so I sat down to do something about it. Above he is not finished, yet, but you can see where he is going.
And he already has a nickname, too : "Schnuffi" The name happened when the lady at the tills went: "Awww, what a Schnuffi you have got there!" LOL!!

Und damit keiner denkt ich würde im Moment so gar nichts machen- das stimmt nicht.*g* Ich habe für Viles Geburtstag diese beiden Süßen gebastelt/bemalt.

And just in case anyone was thinking that I have been pretty lazy of late- I wasn't. *g* I made/repainted the little cuties above for Vile's birthday.

The snoozeball is a resin-cast OSC by Moonsong Art that's called "Schlafmütze" which literally translates to "nightcap", but is meant as a term for a very sleepy person who misses everything because of sleeping all the time.
I changed the tail a little bit before repainting it.
Its little comrade is a mini ringwraith aka "The Wraithling" which was made completely from scratch by me, the way I have done poseable dolls before.

Wasserdrache

Nachdem ich in den letzten Tage gefühlte tausend Tauchvideos auf youtube gesehen habe, um in Unterwasser-Stimmung zukommen, habe ich angefangen den Wasserdrachen von Schleich zubemalen. Das ganze ist ein Experiment, da die Farben (bis auf das Gold) Lacke für Porzellan-Malerei sind, aber so wie es aussieht, vertragen die sich sowohl mit dem Gummi als auch mit dem Lack darüber. *puh!*
Ganz wie echte nasse Schuppen ist das Farbschimmern beinahe unmöglich zu fotografieren, weil sich die Farbe je nach Lichteinfall ständig ändert. Die Bilder geben ansatzweise wieder, was das Auge sieht, aber in Person ist der Drache zehnmal schöner.
Hier folgt schonmal eine kleine Vorschau auf das Stückchen, was ich testweise bemalt habe, da muss ich aber auch noch an den Übergängen arbeiten.





English Summary:
After watching tons of dive vids on youtube those past days, I felt reasonably tuned to the necessary underwater-mood and began painting on the Schleich water-dragon.
It's an experiment, because the paint I am using is originally for glazing on porcellain. So far, it has set on the dragon and under the laquer I used to fixate it, though, so I hope I get away with that. It's that special quality of those types of paint that look just right on such a piece.
On the images above I tried to capture the inprogress work. Taking those pictures turned out harder than I thought, because just like with real wet scales, the paint is permanently changing with the angle of light hitting them.
