Mein Projekt der letzten Monate:

Und damit keiner denkt ich würde im Moment so gar nichts machen- das stimmt nicht.*g* Ich habe für Viles Geburtstag diese beiden Süßen gebastelt/bemalt.


Die beiden sind das "Schlafmütze" Resin von Moonsong Art, das ich ganz leicht verändert habe (mehr Rute) und danach bemalt:

And just in case anyone was thinking that I have been pretty lazy of late- I wasn't. *g* I made/repainted the little cuties above for Vile's birthday.

The snoozeball is a resin-cast OSC by Moonsong Art that's called "Schlafmütze" which literally translates to "nightcap", but is meant as a term for a very sleepy person who misses everything because of sleeping all the time.
I changed the tail a little bit before repainting it.
Its little comrade is a mini ringwraith aka "The Wraithling" which was made completely from scratch by me, the way I have done poseable dolls before.

Herbst

Rosalies Fohlen

Rosalie hat endlich ihr Fohlen bekommen- heute morgen haben wir es in ihrer Box gefunden. Hier sind ein paar allererste Bilder:

Rosalie finally foaled. This morning, she was no longer alone in her box so, here are the first handful of pictures we quickly took before letting the new mum have her breakfast in peace.

Weiter gehts mit dem Fohlen

Ich habe nun die Länge der Knochen von Unterarm und Röhrbein des stehenden Vorderbeins vermessen und den Draht entsprechend eingekürzt. Aus Stabilitätsgründen habe ich noch einen zweiten Draht "implantiert".




Und so sieht das mit einer ersten Schicht aus Apoxie aus (die Gelenke sind noch nicht herausgearbeitet):




Und hier noch der Stoff aus dem Modellpferde sind *g*:

Das ist das Glas, in dem ich mir beim Modellieren immer die Finger anfeuchte- nachdem ich es ein paar Tage stehen gelassen hatte ohne das Wasser zu wechseln, flockte es da drinnen etwas aus. *g*

And onward with the foal- I have now measured the length of lower arm and cannonbone on the standing frontleg and shortened and adjusted the wire to meet those measures. To make the thin "bone" of the raised leg more stable, I implanted a second wire just behind the first.
Above you see the leg first with both wires and then with a first layer of Apoxie. I have not yet begun to sculpt the joints or anything, I just want this to mend first.
And below something special. *g* That's the matter model horses are made of! *g* This is the bottom of the waterglass in which I dip my fingers when sculpting. I had forgotten to change the water and left it standing for a few days and very interesting structures began to form in there.

Und sie haben doch ein Eigenleben...

Was bedeutet es wenn ein selbstmodelliertes Pferd in Arbeit so selbstzufrieden guckt?

Genau, es hat gerade den Plan zu seiner weiteren Verwirklichung weiter verkompliziert.
Das gestreckte Vorderbein war in sich schief, darum musste ich es schon wieder brechen, um das zu korrigieren (das ist mit ein Grund, warum OSCs aus Apoxie nur was für geduldige Menschen sind, die sich nicht scheuen zum Korrigieren mit brachialen Methoden an ihr Werk zu gehen.)und dabei brach widererwarten nicht nur das Röhrbein, wie beabsichtigt. Nö, der Bruch lief als Riss einmal ganz nach oben. Na toll. Also das komplette Bein abpulen.
Das Fohlen hat mir bei der Gelegenheit allerdings "gesagt", das es mehr Aktion in seiner Pose will. Ok, wo wir gerade dabei sind... Heißt aber, das ich mir jetzt auch noch ne Base austüfteln muss, weil ich an dem gehobenen Bein eigenlich kein Stäbchen haben möchte. Na danke auch. *g*
Und hier dann gleich nochmal ein Blick ins Innenleben des OSC:

Auf dem Draht ist eine dünne Schicht Abklebeband, so hält die Modelliermasse besser während sie noch weich ist.

Englisch Summary:

What's the matter when an OSC in progress suddenly looks so very smug? Yeah, right, it just found a way to make said progress even more complicated.
The stretched frontleg was not straight from front, so I was going to break the cannon bone to remedy that. (See why Apoxie OSCs are only for very patient people who do not mind to use nasty methods on their own works?)The break had its own agenda and a crack travelled up the whole inside of the leg. Now you could fix that, but it will always be an accident-prone spot, so better not. Just great, now remove the hard Apoxie of the whole leg instead. *grumble*
While I was at it, the foal "told" me that it found its standing pose very boring and would like to have a little more action. Ok, since I am at it anyway, here you go... but of course it means that I have to think about a way to support the horse now, most likely with some sort of a base. Thank you very much. *g*

The second picture above lets you have a glimpse to the insides of the OSC- the stuff on the strong wire is a thin layer of masking tape. It is really helpful when applying the Apoxie, as it sticks better to this than to the wire.

More sneak peeks

In letzter Zeit haben sich einige in Abeit Bilder angesammelt, darum hier noch zwei.
Recently, quite a few in progress pictures have piled up here, so here are another two of them.

Na endlich

...ich kann gar nicht mehr sagen wie oft ich dieses arme Fohlen schon zersägt, umgebogen und wieder zusammengefügt habe, aber nun habe ich anscheinend endlich die Pose mit der wir beide leben können. *g*
So bleibt es nun und nun gehts ans Korrigieren und Ausarbeiten der Anatomie. Lustigerweise ist diese Pose nun fast wieder die Ausgangsstellung - hätte ich da mal mehr Ausdauer gehabt... Auf der anderen Seite habe ich bei den Aktionen, die ich mit dem Fohlen angestellt habe, eine Menge gelernt, darum will ich mich gar nicht so doll beschweren.

Finally! I can hardly count anymore how often I took this poor foal apart and pieced it together again in its creation process. But now finally I have found a pose which suits both me and the foal.
So I will now fix up the flaws and add what's missing from here. Funnily, this is almost the pose this critter started with - maybe I should have been just a bit more persistent back then. On the other hand, I learned a lot in the process, so no true complaints from me, here.

Sneak Peek

Eigentlich wollte ich ja nur schreiben, dass ich mit dem Aufmodellieren von Dianas Halla fast fertig bin, aber so ein Post ohne Bilder ist ja auch blöd...

Ein Classic? Ein Schecke? Yep. Mehr wenn das Weiß überall besser deckt.

Originally, I planned just to post that I am almost done with the sculptings on Diana's Halla, but what is a post without a picture? Right, so here we go with a most uncommon (for me) sneak peek.
A Classic sized horse? A Piebald? Yes. More when the white is starting to be solid all over.

WIP

Zwei (von vielen) die in Arbeit sind:

Der Drache ist ein bißchen schlecht gelaunt, denn das grün ist leer und bis der Laden das wieder neu geliefert bekommt muss er nun halbnackt dasitzen. *g*


Jumanahs erste Seite ist fast fertig- hier trocknet gerade eine Schicht Sprühlack, muss man ja ausnutzen, gerade kein Regenschauer und keine rumfliegenden Pollen und andere Fussel.


Die Farbe ist auf dem oberen Bild besser getroffen.

English Summary

Two of the many that are in some kind of in progress state.
The dragon is a little bit annoyed, because I ran out of green, the shop, too, and now he has to wait until they restock. It is very indignifying to sit around half-naked, he thinks.

Jumanah's first side is almost finished. Here she is enjoying the open air on the balcony as a layer of spray-laquer is drying up. Really got to use that chance that there is no downpour and no pollen stuff floating in the air.
