Noch mehr Frühling!

Hier ist nun endgültig der Frühling ausgebrochen. *g* Ich habe gestern zwei Kunstgrasmatten gefunden die auf Fotos richtig gut aussehen. Damit habe ich heute dann gleichmal ein paar Frühlingsbilder gemacht:

Herbstnebel schreitet ganz majestätisch über die Wiese

Aber das Beste ist immer noch fressen, vorallem wenn man auf sein Fohlen wartet. Hyacinth hat ihrs ja schon, aber Rosalie wartet noch.




English Summary:
Yesterday I found two pieces of artificial grass, according to the shop, you are supposed to use it on a decked out Easter table, but of course I had other ideas. I am most delighted how nice it photographs, it looks a lot more realistic on the pictures than I thought it would. And so a couple of my horses were let out onto the new spring pasture to demonstrate it.

Mal wieder ein Lebenszeichen

Im Moment ist hier modelltechnisch nicht so viel los- ein paar Pferde die zu glänzig waren sprüh ich nach und nach mit meinem neuen Lack matt.
Eins davon war Hyacinth, die in matt nun viel besser aussieht:

Just a life sign, not much happening here currently.
I could undo the bad cases of semi-gloss which I had unwittingly produced recently by using a new laquer. One of those updated horses is Hyacinth, one of my favourite photo-horses currently- she also has adopted the filly Abendlied.

Sonntagsausritt

Heute möchte ich Euch auf einen kleinen Ausritt mit Hyacinth mitnehmen.
Der Sonntagsspaziergang wurde zum Spazierritt, muss man wenigstens nicht laufen. *g*


Aber irgendwas war heute anders im Park- oh, guck mal, schau mal hier:


Ja, geht ganz schön tief runter.


Nee, das meine ich nicht, gib mal die Kamera, vom Pferd aus fotografiert sieht man es viel besser:

Genau, in den Kanälen ist nun Wasser, im Winter war das alles trocken und leer. Dann folgen wir dem Kanal doch einfach mal.

Prima, da kann man sogar die Hufe ein bisschen kühlen- wenn man sich denn hintraut:


Na komm schon, Hyacinth, die Fontäne ist zwar laut, aber sie frisst keine Pferde...


Geht doch, nun kannst Du in der Sonne deine Füße kühlen während wir für ein Bild posieren. So ein tapferes Pferd. *g*


English Summary:
Too lazy to have a Sunday walk, we made it a Sunday ride. *g*
Coming to the park which we already know from autumn and winter, we found something cool today. The empty canals were running with water. Following them, we found a fountain and after some coaxing and the reassurance that fountains do not eat horses, Hyacinth dared to stand in the shallow waters to pose for a picture. Such a brave horse. *g*

Sterntänzer

Hyacinth und Sterndeuter...

..sind nun frischgebackene Eltern. *g*

Eileen war gestern noch spät im Stall und als sie nach Hause ging, schaute sie nochmal in jede Box.


Doch oh Schreck, Hyacinth hatte sich hingelegt und schwitzte- dabei war die Abfohlbox noch gar nicht vorbereitet.


Eileen beschloss auf jedenfall Mia, unsere Tierärztin, anzurufen - nur leider ist in diesem Stallteil kein Telefon, deshalb rannte sie ins Büro. Mia schien zu tun zu haben, denn es dauerte endlos, bis sie sie endlich erreichte und ihr atemlos ihre Beobachtungen schilderte.

Als sie Mia endlich erreicht hatte, flitzte sie wieder zurück, doch da stand Hyacinth schon wieder und ihr taumelte ein langbeiniges Etwas entgegen:


Nach der Untersuchung war klar das Beide alles gut überstanden haben, sicherheitshalaber bekam Hyacinth aber ein Halfter auf. Und dann gabs es ein paar Bilder fürs Album von dem quietschlebendigen kleinen Hengstchen:

Hyacinth and Sterndeuter are now new parents. *g*

Some days ago, Eileen was last at the stable and made a round before she planned to leave for home. And then she saw with a start that Hyacinth was stretched out and sweating in her box - and the foaling box was not ready yet!
Eileen ran to the office where the next phone is and tried to get a hold of our Vet, Mia. It took her ages until Mia finally answered the call, apparently it was a busy evening for her, too. Eileen told her about her observations hurriedly and then ran back to Hyacinth's box.
When she arrived there, everything was over already and a longlegged bundle tumbled her way unsteadily.
Next after Mia's check up of mare and foal, they took a few pictures for the family album.
And the day after some more pictures outsdoors - and here in the open, the proud Dad could have a glimpse at his little family, too. *g*

Finally some in progress pics again!
Here you see Hyacinth who is getting all the small details painted currently and loves to show off her new ears.
Percy got his first paint layers but I still found some little dents I have previously overlooked and need to tend to them.
Mielahis is done as far as the sculpting part of it is considered- now he needs some sanding and prepping before painting.

Hyacinth in Arbeit

Im letzten Post zu Hyacinth war sie ja noch recht einfarbig. Mittlerweile hat sie eine Äpfelung bekommen:


Die Äpfelung wurde dann abgeschächt, bis sie nur noch ganz leicht im Fell zusehen ist.
Auf dem Bild von heute sieht man das gut, allerdings stimmt es farblich nicht, sie sieht viel dunkler aus als sie ist:

English Summary:
In her last entry, Hyacinth look pretty simple-bay still, in the meantime I have done some dappling on her. Shown above in the stage where I painted the "net" of the dapples onto her basic colour and then below when I have blended the dappling into the surrounding colour, because I want them to be very light and subtle.
The image second to last is of today but not very true to colour, as it was taken just now. The older image that I posted again as the last picture is much closer to her true hue of bay.

Nachtrag

Nachdem ich viel zu tun hatte, dann krank war und wieder einiges um die Ohren hatte, haben sich hier so einige Bilder angesammelt, die nun nach und nach in den nächsten Einträgen auftauchen werden.

Back after long absence! I had much to do at first, then got sick, but now I am back to posting and soon commenting, too.
But boy I have lots of piccies and posts to write, kinda a backlog. They will come up the next days.
I start here with two cute birthday pressies that I got from Diana, the little donkey "Grisu" and the Schleich Friesian "Prins". Prins immediately made friends with his new companion "Shorty".
New posts and piccies are coming about Percy, Hyacinth and... Fleur, who had a surprise in store for me, LOL!!

Hyacinth in Arbeit

Hyacinth bekam zunächst ein paar ganz dünne Farbschichten in einer realistischen Farbe:


Dann habe ich sie einmal lackiert - und nach draußen verfrachtet, damit der Gestank mich nicht drinnen wahnsinnig macht:


Weil sie aus so einer wilden Mischung aus Massen besteht, warte ich nun ein paar Tage ob es zu irgendwelchen Reaktionen (Kleben, Blasen, Risse etc) kommt und male dann auf dieser "Grundierung" weiter.

Hyacinth got a few thin layers of a more realistic colour and was the treated with laquer and put out to air the smells off.
I am going to wait a few days now, to check for any unwanted reactions of the surface, since she is pieced together from several different clays. If she stays stable, I will continue painting on this "basecoat" of colour.
