Weihnachten bei Oma Lene

Komm, während wir auf die Bescherung warten, spazieren wir durch die Straßen und schauen uns die erleuchteten Fenster an.
Come, while we wait for the giving of gifts, we take stroll through the street and look at all the houses with their warm and welcoming glow.


Und auch mal durchs Fenster, oh da gibt es einen geschmückten Baum.
And we peek into windows, too- oh, there is a Christmas tree in there!


Das ist ja Oma Lenes Haus!

Und da steht sie auch am Fenster und schaut. Hat sie etwas gehört?
And there she is at the window- did she hear something?


Ja, den Schlitten, der hier gerade vorfährt.
Yes, the sleigh that is just now pulling up in front of the house.


Schnell kommt sie an die Tür, freut sich und läutet ihre Handglocke, denn sie weiß, dass alle am liebsten sofort zum Tannenbaum möchten...
Quickly she opens her door and rings the bell merrily, knowing full well that everybody is most anticipant to see the tree and the presents beneath it. *g*




Und so festlich sieht es im Wohnzimmer aus. Alles ist bereit für die Bescherung.
And this is the livingroom in all its seasonal glory as it waits for the guests. Everything is set and very cosy.

4. Advent

Heute, am 4. Advent hat Carl sich gemeinerweise in der Nähe des Stalles auf die Lauer gelegt, denn er wusste ja, dass das geheimnisvolle Weihnachtspferd von Susanna auch mal Bewegung braucht. Und seine Geduld wurde belohnt- da sind sie, Susanna und ihr Belisar!
Oooh weia, das gibt aber noch Ärger, so wie Susanna hier guckt, schnell weg, Carl!

Also schnell mal ablenken- hier ist der Schlitten, gezogen von Yuletide, die sich prächtig im Geschirr macht.

Und ein Blick in den Schlitten, der nun randvoll mit Geschenken ist- ist ja nicht mehr lange hin.

Yuletide ist ein weiteres Pferd das in einem Anfall von Liebe auf dem ersten Blick spontan hierher umzog. Ich liebe ja diese älteren Remakes und wenns ein Schimmel ist- da ist dann auch mal die Rasse egal. Dieses ist von 1994 und vermutlich aus einem Foundation Stallion verändert.

Today on this fourth Advent Sunday, Carl hid close to the barn to get us a sneak peek of Susanna's mysterious Christmas-horse finally. And he was successful- here's the first picture of her and Belisar!
But ooh dear, look at her face- I bet he gets some unpleasant things to hear about this...

So to create a swift distraction here is another look at the sleigh, which is pulled by Yuletide, who arrived newly today. And a close up at all the delightful freight it carries.

Yuletide was seen, loved instantly and adopted, because this is the kind of model horse I really love- an older CM that oozes personality instead of soulless (and replaceable) super-perfection. This one was created in 1994 and seems to be made of a Breyer Foundation Stallion.

Carl

Wie in einem früheren Post beschrieben, war Carl in der Klinik und wurde komplett erneuert. *g* Er hatte Ermüdungsrisse in den Unterarm-Stücken und einem Bein. Theoretisch hätte man das vielleicht austauschen können, aber die Mego-Figuren haben ja auch immer das Problem, das sie schlecht sitzen. Deshalb habe ich die Gelegenheit am Schopf gepackt und nur die wichtigen Dinge (Kopf, Torso, Hände) erhalten und den Rest deutlich beweglicher gestaltet. Da Carl sowieso immer lange Ärmel und Hosen trägt, bestand keine Notwendigkeit, den Körper naturgetreu nachzubauen.

Ich hätte fast vergessen zu fotografieren wie das Anfangsstadium aussah, deshalb nur ein schnelles Bild:

Und fertig. Da gerade keine anderen Klamotten zur Hand waren, hab ich ihn mal schön warm und gemütlich angezogen- auch wenn ihm das gar nicht recht war. *ggg*

Und hier nochmal mit Susanna, beide sagen hier Danke zu Steffi (Gut Goldbach), für ihre neuen Oberteile. (Die Stiefel von Carl sind noch nicht ganz fertig)


English Summary:
As mentioned in an earlier entry, Carl has been to the hospital to get rejuvenated. He had breaks and tears in his lower arms and legs, were the plastic was giving away. Theoretically, this could have been fixed, but since all Mego-dolls have a habit of riding badly, I thought it best to address this issue in one go as well. So I discarded a lot and kept only the important stuff. (Head, torso, hands) and went from there with wire. Since Carl is always wearing long sleeves and trousers, there was no need for sculpting realistic limbs.

I almost forgot to take a picture of stage 1, but there it is, somewhat quick and blurry.
Then, some wrappings later, he has a humanoid shape again. And then he was ready. Since I had no other clothes at hand, he got stuffed into super-cosy seasonal stuff. Do you know whay this upset him so much? *looks innocent*

Ok, I was merciful and he got back into normal clothes. And then on the last image, he says thank you, together with Susanna, to Steffi of Gut Goldbach, who made them their nice new jackets (and the striped shirt). (His boots are not finished yet, here.)

3. Advent

Mit den ersten Geschenken unterwegs zu Oma Lene's Haus, wo dieses Jahr Bescherung sein wird.

Einen schönen ersten Advent für Euch! :)

In Minihausen haben die Weihnachtsvorbereitungen auch angefangen und das Haus ist schon mal zumindest von außen fertig geschmückt.

As you can see above, in Mini-City the signs are pointing towards Christmas and at least the outside decoration of the house is finished.

Susannas Pferd

Susanna hat sich ein Pferd gekauft, da sie es sich aber zu Weihnachten schenkt, wollte sie noch nicht mit Details heraurücken. Sie hat lediglich Oma Lene ein Bild gemailt, da sie gerade Carl vertritt, der wegen einer OP im Krankenhaus ist.


English Summary:
Susanna has bought herself a horse, but since it is intended to be a Christmas present to herself, she refuses to show him off already.
She did send Oma Lene a picture by Email, though, as she is currently substituting Carl, who is in hospital for some surgery.

Gemischte Neuigkeiten

Mein Modell von Goldi macht auch Fortschritte. Noch ein paar kleine Korrekturen und dann schleifen, schleifen, schleifen.




Und in der kleinen Welt gab es ein paar neue Dinge:





Die kleine Pflanze habe ich selbergebastelt.

Und ich bin nun wie wild am Buchattrappen bauen. Es wird auch ein paar mit Seiten zum Blättern geben, aber man muss die Regale ja erstmal vollkriegen. XD




Und im Stall, in dem Amor und Goldi wohnen, ist vor einer Woche ein kleiner Shetty-Hengst geboren worden:

My Goldi portrait model has progressed a lot but I took forever to show. She needs a few minor changes and then a lot of sanding.

For the doll house, a couple of new things arrived. And I am currently making a lot of fake-books to fill the shelves. I am going to make some with content and real pages, too, but I really have an urge to clutter up the shelves first. *g*

And at the barn where Amor and Goldi live, a tiny little foal was born last week. He's a Shetty and currently looks like a plush-toy. 

Aufräumen / tidying up

Wegen der bekannten Probleme mit dem Bilderdienst Tinypic (vertauschte URLs und Anzeige nicht jugendfreier Inhalte an Stelle der Original-Bilder) habe ich meine Posts aus den Jahren 2007- Anfang 2010 erstmal "unsichtbar" gemacht und werde die vielen Bilder nach und nach woanders hochladen, neuverlinken und die Posts wieder freigeben.
Es sind allerdings über 300 Posts mit vielen Bildern, also wird das eine Weile dauern...

Because of the typical problems with Tinypic in recent years (replaced/swapped URLs to not suitable pics which replace the originally uploaded files) I have hidden all my posts of the years 2007 to the start of 2010. I am going to upload the many images elsewhere and after updating the posts, they will be visible again. But since those are more than 300 posts with tons of images, this is going to take a looong while...
