Pojken

English Summary:
Here Pojken gets his very own post, too, to be properly introduced. His name is the Swedish word for "boy" and as you can guess, he is a Swedish riding pony belonging into granny Lene's herd.
The pictures hopefully show some of the pretty shadings in the OF-colour. I am not completely happy with the tail though (a bit thick) and will likely revist it one day.

Ein OF Modell hairen / Hairing an OF-model horse

Some general thoughts before one starts with removing any parts on an OF-horse are necessary.
If I plan to do a short "sport-type" mane, then the horse that gets that treatment should have a likewise hairdo already. You can't turn a sculpted "wild mustang hairexplosion" into a short cropped mane without extensive repair work and higher skills at mixing just the right hue of the paint. (The other way round is always easily done, though)
It is also a big advantage if the tail is not fixed at one or both hindlegs- that is another case which would need extended restoration before hairing.

OF-hairing Tutorial
Here you see the riding pony Pojken, he shows you how he turned into a charming pony stallion.

Fohlen

Dann Ende Juli nochmal:

English Summary:
When getting home from work today, I fetched my OSC foal from the closet. (It was in there for a creative pause) Shown above the early stages from last spring and summer. The result was a big overhaul of the legs. One front leg got moved and both hindlegs half removed to correct the angles in the joints by moving the wire.
I really like the back of the ears so far, LOL!! But it does start to look cute, too.
