English Summary:
Not much has happened in the small scale world this year, as I have turned my heart fully on the real horses again, for which the model horses served as a temporary replacement, it seems. But at least one horse *has* been finished.
And so we proudly present the latest offspring of the stables, the handsome Música da Noite, who is already off in his new forever home in Sweden and liking it there or so I heard. *g*
He's the Aragon resin by Heike Polster, who got some facial resculpting and then paint, hairing and some spirit by me.

Do you see what I see?

(Frei nach "Do you hear what I hear" *g*)

 photo rosie_zps57ce4e78.jpg

The Amoricorn

English Summary:
Do you see what I see?
(Freely after "Do you hear what I hear?")

Originally I had planned to work more on the house, but true inspiration rarely hits these days, so it would be folly to turn it away when it does.
So if you think you are recognizing the body above, you may be spot on.
Berengaria would have needed a serious overhaul, as she had cracks and paint flaws, anyway but when I held her in my hand, my brain transformed her outlines and yes!! With not very much effort, one can make a very neat look-a-like out of her by transforming her into another horse.
So, "Rosie" (that is a joke at the barn) is now in the works and will be named "Goldschatz" (= Golden Treasure) when finished. *g*

And one special little screen-shot- sometimes, the rain simply washes off disguising glamour. *g*

Zeigt her Eure Füße, zeigt her Eure Schuh...

 photo schuhe02_zpsb2c135be.jpg

Wieviele Bilder willst Du denn noch machen?! Bastel lieber meinen zweiten Schuh!

English Summary:
Susanna has recently been shopping at Gut Goldbach and has just now reminded me that she really has no Problem with looking forward to new clothes, but a big problem with the fact that she still has no shoes!
Well, she is right, I suppose. And so I have solved half of the problem by making the first shoe just now.
And of course she did not feel up to posing, but ushered me back to work instead...

Dreammare und Dream On

English Summary:
I just realised that I never finished the introduction of the Pony-family. So here you go with Dreammare und Dream On (both named after song titles but I love the doublemeaning in the mare's name, too).
They are Dales Ponies, just like Harvey.

Sculpting the feathers on the mare was really awful work, I am once more feeling assured why I prefere hairing so much. *g* But you have to have some challenge from time to time, don't you?

Das war ja klar!

Heh, nimm die Zähne von meinem Baum!!!
 photo cleotree01_zps3c448516.jpg

English Summary:
Heh, remove your teeth from my tree, yoouu...!!!
Unbelieveable- you have just finished a treeshaped object and already get it eaten, tsssk...

I made it, I finished my first tree! It is not perfect, but I had great fun, learned something while making it and this will not be the last tree ever.
Now I need to make some decorations -removeable ones, because I would like to use the tree all year in diorama-settings.

O Tannebaum!

So fragt man sich vielleicht, was daran jetzt soviel Arbeit ist...
 photo tannenbaum01_zpsa4e88b3a.jpg

English Summary:
We all know those projects that we thought would be finished quickly and then they take much longer, right? Here's one of them, I am making a Christmastree for my riders. And currently it is a bit questionable if I will make it on time, but I will try everything, LOL!!

On the first image one might think what the heck is taking her so long, but on the second one, you get some idea- all those sidebranches make it a way more slow progress.

In other news, soon a whole family is going to move North from Bavaria to our farm to live and work here.

Das tapferste Modellpferd des Stalls

....ist wohl Löwenherz. Warum?

 photo loew06_zps467d2fa0.jpg
Da fehlt was?

Warmblut Wallach in Arbeit

Warmblut Wallach in Arbeit

Löwenherz in progress

loewe

English summary:
Lionheart is the bravest horse in the shelves? Why? Because he's been sawed apart again and again so often now and he still does not faint when seeing the saw. Tough guy!
I think I now finally fixed the position of the legs, yay! The legs themselves do need some fixings still, obviously. *g* The big question here is if I will be able to live with the lumpy area under his kneecaps there on the hindlegs... The wire lies there very stupidly, because at the time when I began him, I was pretty clueless about that. If I can't live with that, I will have to saw his hindlegs off, though...

And yes, he is missing his lower jaw. It lies at his feet there. That is because I decided to ensure I would never finish him in this life and will sculpt him a yawning snout.XD
The pics below show the way he has come already, it has been quite some changes.

In other news I have been busily adding some piccies to my horse website and I made an entirely new page for it where I present my favourite tack-pieces. I'll be adding to it bit by bit. Some images I already had to hand and new ones will be taken, too.

Show-Set in Arbeit

 photo nativeshowtack01_zpsa51c2ab3.jpg

English Summary:
For the first time in ages I am doing something with leather now. I am making one of those show sets I mentioned in the last post for Harvest Moon.
And in between of making the surcingle, my new tool arrived. It is for skiving leather and I have no idea what the English word for it is. (I wrapped the handle because I seem to be allergic to the metal) But the tool itself is wonderful. I could already use it to refine the straps of the surcingle.
Below you see the current state of the project with a borrowed bridle. Some details left to add to the surcingle and then it is time for the bridle.

Was machst Du denn da unten?

...what are you doing down there?

 photo npstall03_zps1307822b.jpg

He totally needs some tack as in the link above now, so I am sorting through my left overs of leather already.

In Arbeit

 photo nose01_zps26aa4169.jpg

Oder das:
 photo legs01_zpsc8c52522.jpg

English summary:
I would have loved to show you the progress I made with Mr. Fuzzy Feet, but well- he is not keeping still when I try to photograph him. All that I have got, you can see above. *g*

http://www.papiton.de/Bilder/Detail/schleich-fell-pony-hengst-13739.jpg

English Summary:
Greyness everywhere! The sky was rainy and grey today and so are the horses. *g*
First a mini-grey. I found to my delight that there actually is a Schleich horse that does not have a too small and somewhat weird head as most of the other Schleichs do.
It is the Fellpony stallion and it had to come home with me. Above in the link, you can view the OF. I did not like the hairdo and went directly over it with Apoxie. It has been a while (in fact I can't remember last time) since I sculpted long hair and for that, it does not look too bad.
I have decided to make him a dapple grey and named him Midget. And since I am weird that way, I started with the darkest colour, as usual, as a basecoat. *g*

Midget was not the only one to get a basecoat and so I got bored when everybody sat to dry and simply grabbed someone who has been waiting for the next stage forever, it feels. *g* Since my mind is full of dapple grey, I decided to make him one, too, instead of sticking to my original plan to make him fleabitten grey. Like this, he might actually get finished, too.
So he is going to be a very light dapple gray, the last dapples fading away into the white, which means that he will be getting a lot lighter, yes. *g*

English Summary:
Schnuffi is finished, he just needs to dry most thoroughly so he can get a finishing layer of laquer that will make him a tad bit less shiny, too.
Above you can see him alone and in comparision to some other critters, so you can guess at his size.

Thanks to Schnuffi, two other old projects are getting some work now, too. Above is what they currently look like. They are not in scale for the rest, I am thinking them to be a bit larger than 1:09 scale, so photographing them will be tricky but not impossible.

Schnuffi

 photo schnuffi_zpse9ce7612.jpg

English summary:
Yay, finally I could do something creative again - it feels like forever since I last actually painted or made something... When I did my weekend shopping, this doggy leaped into my basket at the grocery store. He's almost true 1:10 and made from polyresin. Like all of his kind, his painting was horrible and so I sat down to do something about it. Above he is not finished, yet, but you can see where he is going.
And he already has a nickname, too : "Schnuffi" The name happened when the lady at the tills went: "Awww, what a Schnuffi you have got there!" LOL!!

 photo three01_zps8e9230fa.jpg

English Version:
Currently in the works are these guys (well, one lady, LOL!!). The gray in the middle is living with Diana normally, but he returned to the place where he was raised (=first remade) to get a little facelift after an accident which he recently had. I just liked them trotting all together there.

Sarantium (mare) got her leg-position corrected once more and now I am pleased. I am also in the process of lengthening her head and adding some "flesh" and detail to it.

And with the big guy, I am currently restoring the shoulder, neck, head area, but speckled as he currently is, it should be hard to see what little details I have already returned to him.
Most importantly, though, I have been working on removing the signs of stress from his face. Most prominently here the tensed mouth and the extremely bulging muscles under the jaw. Now he looks way more relaxed. Throatline is next to work on.
