Gretel-Größe

Es kam die Frage nach der Größe des Breyer Gretel-Modells auf. Sie ist ein eher kleineres Classic, hier ein paar Vergleichsbilder.
A question about the size of the Breyer Gretel came up- here are some comparisions so you can decide for yourself.


Das blonde Kind ist eine echte Classic-Size Puppe aus einem alten Set, an der in der Größe nichts verändert wurde. Das rothaarige Mädchen hat den Körper der Junior Reiterin plus leichte Beinverlängerung.
 The blonde child is true Classic-Size and is orignally an adult from an old set. Her size wasn't altered. The red haired girl has the body of the Junior Rider plus somewhat elongated legs.


Zusammen mit Pojken, dem Classic Warmblood Stallion, der bei mir ein Reitpony darstellt.

Stockmaß ca. 12 cm!

Und hier noch der ganz krasse Vergleich mit Traditional- wobei das John Henry Mold ja schon eines der größeren Modelle ist.

Und noch ein neuer Vierbeiner

Dieser kleine Kerl ist gerade fertig geworden. Er ist noch etwas schüchtern und hat sich nur mit dem großen Abby zusammen vor die Kamera getraut. *g*



Familie Schnell war heute im Tierheim, weil die Kinder unbedingt einen Hund haben wollten. Jetzt da die Eltern wieder fest angestellt sind, ist das ja auch geldlich kein Problem mehr.


Die kleine Anna hat sich gleich in diesen Hund verliebt und weil er bei ihr und ihrem Bruder Basti auch ganz zutraulich war, hatte sie ihre Eltern schnell um den Finger gewickelt.
Sie hat ihn Strolchi getauft, da sie sich sicher ist, dass er eine Menge Blödsinn anstellen wird, sobald er ganz aufgetaut ist.

Nur vor Pferden hat er noch ziemlich Respekt, wie Luisa hier feststellen muss.

Just finished is this cute little guy. He's a bit shy, still, and only wanted to be photographed with the big Abby as his bodyguard. *g*

And this is his story:
The new family, the Schnells, went to the animal shelter today, because the children really wanted to have a dog. Now that the family has safe jobs, they couldn't really argue with this any longer (*g*) and so they went. Little Anna immediately fell for this scruffy little guy and since he was immediately on friendly terms with Anna and her brother Basti, the parents were soon persuaded.
Anna dubbed the little guy Strolchi, which means as much as the endearment form of "rascal", because she is pretty sure that he will be full of mischief as soon as he feels completely at home with them.
But for now, he really needs to get used to the horses, whom he seems to find a bit intimidating, still.

Dreammare und Dream On

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich die Ponies gar nicht zu Ende vorgestellt habe- hier sind Dreammare und Dream On (beide nach Songtiteln benannt, aber die Wortspielerei mit dem Namen der Stute ist auch prima.)
Die beiden sind Dales Ponies.










Das Modellieren des Langhaars war echt schrecklich, ich weiß schon, warum ich viel lieber haire! *g* (Aber man soll sich ja auch mal Herausforderungen setzen...)

English Summary:
I just realised that I never finished the introduction of the Pony-family. So here you go with Dreammare und Dream On (both named after song titles but I love the doublemeaning in the mare's name, too).
They are Dales Ponies, just like Harvey.

Sculpting the feathers on the mare was really awful work, I am once more feeling assured why I prefere hairing so much. *g* But you have to have some challenge from time to time, don't you?
