Lebenszeichen

Nein, ich bin nicht verschollen, vom Rand der Welt gestolpert oder irgendwas in der Art, ich bin noch da. 😊
Das Einzige was sich geändert hat, sind die Prioritäten in meinem Leben. Letztes Jahr ist mein Pflegepony chronisch an einer Atemwegs-Erkrankung erkrankt und da war viel Einsatz und Arbeit nötig, um dafür zusorgen, das er zumindest auf diesem Level der Erkrankung stehen bleibt.  Wir konnten ihn erfolgreich stabilisieren, aber damit das so bleibt und er ohne Medikamente symptomfrei leben kann, ist es nötig möglichst täglich zu inhalieren und danach das Bewegungsprogramm umzusetzen.
Man macht es gerne, denn es geht ihm gut dabei, aber das frisst jeden Tag Zeit. Und aus dem Grund habe ich bis auf weiteres auch keine Zeit für die Modelle mehr. Ich lese allerdings immer noch gerne und still in Euren Blogs mit und freue mich über Eure neuen Arbeiten, Modelle und Geschichten.

Wer sich dafür interessiert, wie es mit uns weitergeht, kann gerne in meinen anderen Blog mitlesen.

No, I haven't fallen off the world's edge or anything, I am still here.
The only things that changed are the priorities in life currently. Last year, the pony I take care of, fell chronically ill with a lung disease and it took a lot of work and effort to keep him from getting worse. We managed to stabilize him on a good level, though, but to keep it like that and to make possible that he can live without permanent medication, it is necessary to let him use the inhalation-device as often as possible (ideally is daily) and to excercise him afterwards.
I am doing it gladly, because he really rallied and is now very happy and lively, but it eats time each day. So working fulltime and caring for the pony leave no room for actively participating in the model horse world anymore.
But I still love to read your blogs and enjoy all the new creations, the models and the stories you post.

Einen schönen ersten Advent für Euch! :)

In Minihausen haben die Weihnachtsvorbereitungen auch angefangen und das Haus ist schon mal zumindest von außen fertig geschmückt.

Irgendwie fehlen hier noch die Lockenwickler um das Bild komplett zu machen... XD

Das ist auf alle Fälle Goldi und sie hätte gerne ein weiteres Stück Karotte, deshalb bläht sie die Nüstern auf und macht ein Rüsselmäulchen.
Im Hintergrund staubsaugt Amor über die Weide.

So eine Fliegenmaske muss ich mal basteln. *g*

Amadeus war ja ziemlich verblichen, das habe ich so richtig auf den Bildern mit dem neuen Tack gesehen. Deshalb habe ich nun seine Farbe aufgefrischt und außer einer farblichen Korrektur am Maul (zuviel Grau), alles so gelassen, er soll ja so bleiben wie er damals geworden ist. Nun ist er wenigstens wieder so Orange wie auch das Original war.

Goldi really looked so funny in her flymask today when she felt a bit sleepy, that I really had to capture that. And is it just me or would some hair rollers just make the image perfect? XD

Anyhow, Goldi is napping right next to me and she just decided she wanted to have another piece of carrot, that is why she is beginning to make a funny snout and widening her nostrils meaningfully at me.
In the background, Amor is vaccuuming away at the grass. *g*

Seeing how much fun such a flymask is, I maybe should make a mini-version of this for the model horses. *g*

When taking the pictures of the new tack recently, I noticed how much Amadeus had faded out and I sat down to return him to his really orange self. Apart from a correction of his snout (less grey, was wrong before), I didn't change a thing, because he shall remain exactly on the level of ability I had back then, when I created him.

Ok, ok...

.... wir halten sie vom Basteln ab. Wir sind also "Schuld"....
... we admit that we're keeping her from being productive. Guilty as charged...


Aber es tut uns überhaupt nicht leid. : p
But we sure don't regret it! : p

Das Jahr des Pferdes / The Year of the Horse

Hat mir auch Pferdegesellschaft beschert. Nach über 10 Jahren Abstinenz bereichern nun endlich wieder echte Pferde mein Leben.
Auf einem Hof hier in der Nähe wohnen zwei liebenswerte Pferdesenioren, die sich über Besuch und Beschäftigung sehr freuen und ich darf vorbeischauen so wie es mir passt - ideal für alle Beteiligten.

Das hier ist Amor (30 Jahre)

Und modellpferdetechnisch bastele ich gerade an einem OSC-Hund, der aber noch etwas braucht, bis er fertig wird.

For me, too, it is the Year of the Horse!
After over ten years without real horses for company, I finally got horses back to my life.
At barn in the surroundings of Bergedorf live two very loveable retired old horses named Amor (30 years) and Goldi (25 years) and they are very happy for visits and some attentions.
I am allowed to pay them visits whenever I like and give them a little love and care- and some walks when they feel up to it.
It is a total win-win situation- I get to cuddle horses (and groom and stuff) and the horses love the attentions (and carrots...).

In model horse news, I am working on an OSC dog, but it needs some work, still.

Rollkur - nein danke!

Das ist eine Bankrott-Erklärung für den Sport! Wie kann man nur sinngemäß sagen, wenn ich mit der klassischen Ausbildung/Methode nicht weiterkomme, dann mach ich halt ein bißchen auf Rollkur. Unglaublich!
Wenn ein Pferd so verritten ist, das es auf die normalen Hilfe nicht anspricht, dann muss man mit der Ausbildung halt wieder bei 0 beginnen und nicht das Pferd zusammenzwiebeln damit es funktioniert. Ohne Worte...

Ich hoffe, das das als riesen Negativ-Schlagzeile durch alle relevanten Pferdezeitschriften geht, sowas ist unmöglich.

Nurmal so als Tip für alle Turnierreiter, die auch so denken (es gibt ja ein paar die es glücklicherweise nicht tun) - diesen Link habe ich heute in einem Forum gefunden- man kann höhere Lektionen auchmal ganz ohne Zaum in der Hand reiten:

Es setzt natürlich ein entsprechend reell und sorgfältig ausgebildetes Pferd voraus.

What I am raving about is that those tending to a certain super-hyped dressage horse have said they'd be willing to do a little Rollkur with him, because they can not handle him using the classical way. I can't believe that!
If that is the case, you need to go back to the basics and start him new. Words fail me!

The video above shows a lovely contrast- that you need no reins at all to ride higher dressage moves if your horse is apropriately schooled.
(Try removing the bridle of one of the current "shooting stars"..*evil grin*)
